Rough sound on t1 and especially t3, but all three are wonderful with some great feedback. The 1966 Velvet were just amazing (in terms of live performances) and were one of the earliest truly progressive rock groups, if not the earliest, even slightly earlier than Pink Floyd. Notes that came with this recording (Velvet Underground 2): This tape came labelled from a trader as 1966-06-23 but only the first two tracks are from that gig? Lineage: cassette (from a Trader 20 odd yrs ago, unknown gen) > Source: unknown Tracks 4 + 6 may well actually be the same but the quality is different. Track 5 just sounds like the record with loads of chatter and audience noise over the top. John Fahey 99-Sept-30 Brudenell Social Club - Leeds, England ** ** Notes that came with the John Fahey recording: John Fahey 99-Sept-30 Brudenell Social Club - Leeds, England w/ Daniel Shervington on Organ & Vocals Daniel said he didn't know any of John's records, he had just come along as company with an older relative as I recall. But it was gorgeous - scary, spooky even. I remember John talking about that show when he came back from his trip. That organist fellow really impressed John - he remarked about it more than once and he seemed to hold the duet as one of the musical highlights of the entire excursion into the unknown.
