More often than not, the differences are marginal, if noticeable at all. Additionally, these two volumes have several songs in common. Because of this, these releases are not as desirable as Vol 3 and Vol 4, though they are still recommended without a doubt. Notes: 1 Gimme Shelter #1 Same as Vol 4, different mix. 10 sec. longer than Vol 4, why? Mick & Keith share lead (same for Vol 4) 2 You Got The Silver Out take. Jagger on vocals. 3 Sister Morphine #2 1968? Different mix of official release. Not noticeable. 5 You Gotta Move Different mix of official release. Best sound of the re-mixes for this song 6 Brown Sugar #2? Has a softer sound than official. Acoustic guitar more prominent. Better sound than on Slicky 8 Tumbling Dice 1 & 2 Cleaner, more aggressive sound than Vol 2 10 Ventilator Blues Tour Rehearsal. Wyman not present 11 Bitch Different mix of official release. Heavier bass. Preferable to official release. Faster than Slicky. Why? 12 Brown Sugar 3? Different mix of official release. Slight echo on opening guitar. Best of the Sugar re-mixes 13 Wild Horses #4 Same as Slicky #5, longer by 6 sec at the end. Better sound.
