1969 November-December Rolling Stones There's No Angel Born In Hell (Swinging Pig Records) Disc 1 - 43.06 1 Jumpin' Jack Flash 4.31 (69-Nov-28 - 2nd show NY) 2 Satisfaction 5.40 (69-Nov-27 NY) 3 Love In Vain 4.06 (69-Nov-26 Baltimore) 4 Honky Tonk Women 4.16 (69-Nov-27 NY) 5 Sympathy For The Devil 2.20 (69-Dec-6 Altamont) 6 Sympathy For The Devil 8.27 (69-Dec-6 Altamont) 7 Under My Thumb 4.32 (69-Dec-6 Altamont) 8 Gimme Shelter 2.05 (69-Dec-6 Altamont) 9 Brown Sugar 3.52 (69-Dec-6 Altamont) 10 The Sun Is Shining 3.13 (69-Dec-6 Altamont) Yet again we have a recording of Love In Vain from Baltimore. While it's a great version, it's also widely available on several other boots, not to mention on the official Ya Ya's release. I wish they would have instead tagged I'm Free from Baltimore, which supposedly was a great version. I do have to disagree with John about Sympathy For The Devil from Altamont. The stabbing of Merideth Hunter (I think that's his name) by the Hell's Angels took place during Under My Thumb. I'm not slamming John, as most people have gotten this wrong. I have not listened to this specific recording yet, but you should hear someone scream (probably NOT Merideth) at the end of Under My Thumb. Below review is courtesy of: John Mazcko The tracks on this CDR are comprised of a few different concerts on the 1969 American tour. All are in excellent soundboard quality which is fairly rare from the bootlegs that came from this tour. However there are also 2 bonus tracks at the end that were fairly rare from the '69 tour, that are in excellent audience recording . Tracks on this bootleg were taken from concerts from November 27th and 28th in New York, November 26th in Baltimore, and lastly at the famous Altamont Speedway concert on December 6th. This is a great bootleg that goes well with the official live album: Get Yer Ya Ya's Out! There are some great live songs from this tour that didn't make the final cut. Most of these are on here, including Satisfaction, Under My Thumb and Gimme Shelter! These tracks were taken from the soundtrack to the film, Gimme Shelter, which is about the 1969 American tour! The version of Satisfaction on this is my favorite live version of their career as well as my favorite song played on this tour! Under My Thumb is another outstanding version live!! However, Gimme Shelter is a disappointment! The sound quality is great but the song suddenly stops after two minutes which was how it was played during the film!! It's possible that this version was "cleaned up" in the studio before it was released on the film! Besides having some great songs on here, is also the fact that it serves as very historical as well due to the tracks from the Altamont Speedway concert! Sympathy For The Devil is stopped when someone in the audience is stabbed! It's amazing to hear how Jagger handled the whole situation!! The last two songs on the disc were only played once during the whole tour! Brown Sugar wasn't released as a single for at least another six months after this show!! The tracks from the Gimme Shelter soundtrack are the only known soundboard recordings from this time, making this probably the best bootleg to get from this tour!!
