At the beginning of it a band member (Schmidt ?) tells the crowd that they wish they could continue playing, as they are just getting warmed up. At the end of the improv (at 3.30) an announcer explains to the crowd why the band cannot playing and asks the crowd to go home. He then tells the crowd that the band has left (though that is not true) but that if the crowd wants, they will book Can again in the near future. Sadly, Can's live future was just about to end. The guy I'd been to visit, shared hours of unheard-of Can music, and corresponded with for 3 years was leaving for Japan to marry his long term girlfriend. An end in many ways. As a footnote: this guy managed to follow Can around on tour because his job as a pharmaceutical representative seemed to take him where Can were also playing. Now that must have been one stressful job...He first heard Can on the radio, 'Mother Sky'. He managed to meet them backstage after one gig and became fairly close with them. Hell, Holger sent him a C-90 as a Xmas gift, which I was very fortunate enough to be given as a parting gift. It contains Holger alone in the studio playing bass and various other instruments, as well as a few Can tracks. The second side of the tape contained 'Tequilla', better known as 'Limited Edition Nr. 2' [1974].
