So, for Purple Chick to edit together the raw mono Nagra film session tapes to match the edits of the released stereo (studio-audio sourced) Let It Be LP creates the closest thing to a "true" mono master that we're likely to see. And remember, the Nagra film tapes (used to make the movie) are mixed differently (or less mixed, or have different ambience) from the Apple studio tapes used to make the LP, and would not have any of the overdubs applied to the studio masters (making this a truly "naked" Let It Be). Pretty cool stuff, and certainly above and beyond anything we would have expected or asked for.
